Reasons You Should Exfoliate Your Skin

Reasons to Exfoliate your Skin!

You don’t have to spend thousands on expensive skin care products or cosmetic procedures to get more youthful skin.  You can easily exfoliate your way to better looking skin! Below is a list of a few of the amazing benefits you can get from adding exfoliation to your beauty routine!

Look Younger!

When you exfoliate regularly, this helps to stimulate collagen, which is the main structural protein found in your skin.  Collagen helps to improve the skin’s texture and tightness. So, when you promote your skin’s collagen production by exfoliating, your skin can have a more youthful appearance.

Have a Healthier Lymphatic System!

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels that transport a clear fluid called lymph.  It is part of the circulatory system and a vital part of the immune system. Exfoliating stimulates lymphatic drainage and promotes blood flow, which can help the body release built up lymph fluid. This helps the body remove toxins and promotes healthy blood flow.

Prevent Acne!

Acne breakouts are one of the last things anyone wants to deal with. It is not just a problem for teenagers, adults can get breakouts too.  A gentle exfoliant used daily can help cleanse your pores and prevent breakouts, no matter what your age is.

Improve Skin’s Moisture!

Dry skin can appear flakey and make you look older. Exfoliating can get rid of dead skin cells and allow healthier skin cells to replace them. Gently exfoliating your skin then applying a moisturizing, natural cream can renew even the driest of skin!

White Naturals is proud to offer a line of premium, natural exfoliating products such as our pink salt scrub, charcoal detox scrub and our 24K gold scrub!

Organization Tips

Organization Tips

Staying organized can be difficult when you have multiple responsibilities. A busy life with tasks such as working, taking care of family members and managing a social life can get overwhelming. Organization is a key part of having a healthy life. Below is a list of tips to help simplify your life and keep you organized.

1-  Use a Calendar.

Keeping track of all your appointments, work schedule and family events on a calendar is a great way to add organization to your life. A great tip is to buy a dry erase calendar and keep it in a central location in your home. Instruct your family members to write any important dates on the calendar. This way, you can plan ahead!

2- Have a Family Meeting.

If you live with family members, a spouse or roommates, it is important to communicate with them to stay organized.  Having a meeting once a week to discuss important details such as chores, events or responsibilities that must be completed is a great way to eliminate some chaos in your life.

3- Make a Chore Chart.

Just like the old saying says, “Many hands make light work.”  Life is easier when you have people to help you. One way to simplify your life is to delegate responsibilities with your loved ones. Making a chore chart is a great way to make sure everyone knows what specific tasks they need to accomplish. In a busy household, it can be difficult for one person to share all the responsibilities such as laundry, cooking meals, grocery shopping, and cleaning. Giving each person in the household an assigned task will help the household run smoother.

4- Plan Your Meals.

Though it is convenient, eating fast food because you ran out of time isn’t good for your health. Scrambling to feed yourself or your family every night after work only adds to your frustration. Planning your meals ahead of time will not only help you eat healthier but will minimize stress. There are many resources for healthy recipes such as pinterest. You can even download free cookbooks on kindle or get free recipes online.  One day a week, take time to  plan your meals, create a shopping list and go to the grocery store. This way, you take the guess work out of what you are going to eat for an entire week!

5- Leave Reminders.

When you live a busy life, it can be easy to forget details. Leaving yourself or your family members post-it notes reminders is an easy way to stay organized. You can also utilize technology to help you with time management. Need to exercise? Set an alarm on your phone and label it “Time to exercise.”  Need to remind your husband to pickup your daughter from dance class? Leave him a post-it note in his car.  It can be easy to forget things and leaving reminders can help you get more organized.

6- Prepare your Clothes.

Mornings are stressful enough without having to go through your entire closet to find something that looks right! Picking out your outfits the night before can help you eliminate some morning stress. If you have a work uniform, you can make sure it is ironed and ready to wear the night before so you are not scrambling before you have to clock in. If you have children, it is a great exercise in helping them learn independence and organization by having them pick out their clothes for the week. This will help simplify mornings and make sure everyone in your household looks their best!

6- Set a Schedule.

Staying organized can be difficult when you don’t have a routine. Setting a schedule will help you eliminate stress and stick with your goals. Researchers claim it takes 21 days to create a habit. Sticking to a schedule of when you eat, sleep, exercise and attend social activities is important to live the best life possible.

7- Limit your screen time.

How much time do we waste scrolling through social media? We can be much more productive when we accomplish tasks instead of wasting time. Limiting our time on social media sites can provide us with extra time to spend with loved ones, complete housework, and do healthy activities such as exercise. So plug up your phone, leave it in another room and don’t let it distract you.

8- Prioritize.

As humans, we can do a lot but we can’t do everything. No human can complete everything all at once! This is why prioritizing in life is incredibly important. A great way to prioritize your life is to write down all your responsibilities, activities and goals on paper, then number them in order of importance.  This way you can make sure your most important tasks get completed first. It is also a good idea to see if there are any unnecessary tasks you can eliminate. Stretching yourself too thin can create chaos in your life. Making an itemized list by order of importance will help you gain control of your life and not get overwhelmed!

9- Designate Areas for Items.

If you are constantly looking for things, it is a good idea to delegate specific places to put things such as car keys, reading glasses and important other items.

Are you always looking for the TV remote when you get home from work when all you want to do is sit down and relax? Instead, you can delegate a special place for it such as purchasing a TV tray and making it a habit to always place it there when you’re done watching TV. When you put things in the same place consistently, you create habits and are less likely to lose them.

10- Clean Up.

A messy and unorganized space can add to the stress in your life. Make it a habit to be aware of your work area, home and car. A good habit is to straighten up these areas a little each day. Don’t let trash pile up. Don’t leave a ton of dishes in the sink. Don’t let laundry overflow in your hamper. Make conscious efforts to not let the mess accumulate. If you do a little each day, it won’t overwhelm you and you won’t have a massive mess to clean up at the end of the week!

Organization is essential to living the best life possible. White Naturals is proud to offer safe, natural products and lifestyle tips to improve your life!

Benefits of Himalayan Pink Salt

According to the CDC, Americans should consume no more than 2,300 milligrams (mg) of sodium per day as part of a healthy diet.  Salt is an essential part of nutrition because it contains vital minerals and trace elements. Sodium is required by the body to maintain healthy levels of fluids and regulates electrolytes and blood pressure. Sodium also aids in keeping muscles and nerves running smoothly.

There are many different types of salt, but one of the most beneficial types is Himalayan Pink Salt.

Containing 84 minerals and trace elements, Himalayan pink salt is one of the most beneficial salts to add to your diet. This salt contains sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron. When used in moderation it can benefit your health in many ways!

Because this salt contains trace elements and electrolytes, it has a direct effect on the pH of your blood. PH means “potential of hydrogen”  and is the measure of the acidity or alkalinity of our body’s fluids and tissues. Most doctors agree the healthiest pH level for the human body is an alkaline state with an optimal pH of 7.365. Ingesting Himalayan pink salt in appropriate amounts can help your body become more alkaline.

Himalayan pink salt is not only great for your health, but it benefits your skin too! Daily exposure to chemicals in make-up and elements such as sun and wind exposure can make your skin be dry and rough. Healthy skin benefits greatly from gentle exfoliation!

Himalayan salt makes a great exfoliation ingredient because of it’s high mineral content. When used gently on the skin, the trace minerals are infused into your pores and help create a youthful appearance. Our organic Himalayan salt scrub is a wonderful addition to your skin care routine. It not only moisturizes dry skin but also helps treat acne and can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can be used on sensitive skin areas such as your face and can also be used to reduce the look of cellulite on thighs and hips. This relaxing scrub is sure to improve your beauty regiment!

Just like the ocean, human beings need salt and we are proud to offer a premium, natural product to improve your skin!

Beeswax- Skin Care Secret

Beeswax- Skin Care Secret

Beeswax is a natural substance made by honeybees that has been used since ancient times for its incredible benefits. Ancient Egyptian and Roman cultures used beeswax in their natural skin and beauty products. Today, it is a relatively unknown beauty secret that can improve your skin care routine!

Beeswax is naturally moisturizing and contains vitamin A, which hydrates the skin without clogging pores. It is also used in the treatment of skin conditions such as eczema, diaper rash, dermatitis and psoriasis. It is a great ingredient to add to natural salves and lotions. Just combine beeswax with a carrier oil such as olive or almond oil to treat dry skin!

Beeswax also has anti-aging properties. It has been researched to help the body produce collagen. Collagen is a protein in your body that makes up your connective tissues. As we age, this protein naturally weakens. Beeswax, with it’s high content of vitamin A, helps the skin retain is youthful appearance. Applying beeswax to stretch marks and scars can also improve the appearance of these blemishes.

Other Benefits of Beeswax-

1-      Natural Remedies. The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine performed a 24 week study that revealed beeswax  normalized liver function and improved symptoms of fatty liver in the test subjects. When mixed with honey it has also been used as a treatment for candida. Beeswax can be used to naturally lower cholesterol levels as well. (Do not start or stop any substance without first contacting your medical provider)

2-      Anti-inflammatory. Beeswax has been researched to help ease inflammation and joint pain in patients with arthritis and joint stiffness/pain. It is an added ingredient in many topical creams to ease pain and discomfort.

3-      Acne Treatment.  Due to its rich vitamin A content and anti-septic properties, beeswax is an amazing natural treatment for acne. It moisturizes the skin without clogging pores and allows skin to “breathe.”

Whether you are 25 or 95, our premium beeswax product can be a great addition to your skincare routine for healthy, youthful and moisturized skin!
